Remove the outer leaves from the sprouts. Wash the sprouts. Cut the stalk straight and cut crosswise. Place in a pot and cover with water. Bring to the boil with about 1 teaspoon of salt, cover and cook over medium heat for 15-18 minutes.
Drain it.
Finely dice the bacon and fry it crisply in the pot. Add butter and melt. Toss the cooked Brussels sprouts in the bacon. Season with nutmeg.
