Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 8 Meat ribs (approx. 80 g each)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Honey
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 (approx. 600 g) rutabaga
  • 1 Stalk leek (leek)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 TEASPOON Sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Soy sauce
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the ribs, dab dry and season with salt and pepper. Put the ribs on the fat pan of the oven. Roast in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 35-40 minutes.

  2. 2

Turn the ribs once. Mix honey and 1 tablespoon ketchup and spread the ribs with it 5 minutes before the end of the frying time. Cut the turnip into thin slices, peel and cut into fine strips.

  3. 3

Clean and wash the leek and cut it into slanted rings. Heat oil in a wok. Fry the turnip and leek for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar. Season with salt. Add 2 tablespoons ketchup and soy sauce and bring to the boil.

  4. 4

Season to taste with Sambal Oelek. Roast sesame seeds briefly in a pan without fat. Do not put meat ribs and turnip vegetables on plates. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds and garnished with chillies. Rice tastes good with it.
