Apple soup with cinnamon dumplings

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 4 small sour apples
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 750 ml apple juice
  • 1 go. tablespoon of starch
  • 100 ml White wine (alternatively apple juice)
  • 2 Anise stars
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1/2 pack Dumpling powder "8 cooked dumplings
  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cinnamon
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS butter/margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint

Directions

    Wash apples, remove core, e.g. with an apple corer. Cut apples into very thin rings and sprinkle with 1 tbsp. lemon juice

    Stir 3 tbsp. apple juice and starch until smooth. Boil up the rest of the apple juice, wine, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, aniseed stars and vanillin sugar. Cook the apples for about 3 minutes. Stir in the starch, bring to the boil

    Stir the dumpling powder into 1/4 l cold water and let it swell for 5 minutes. Form about 12 dumplings. Let it simmer in lightly boiling water for about 10 minutes. Lift out the dumplings and let them drain

    Mix cinnamon and sugar on a plate and turn the dumplings in it. Heat the fat in a pan. Fry the dumplings in it until golden brown all around. Arrange everything and decorate with mint if necessary
