Apple pie Änni Lee style

Ingredients

  • 500 g Wheat flour
  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon, gestr. Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 220 ml Milk (warm)
  • 100 g sugar + 1 tablespoon
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon, gestr. Cinnamon
  • 10 Apples
  • 80 g Butter

Directions

    Put flour, sugar, butter, salt, milk, egg and yeast (cut into pieces) into a bowl and stir with a whisk (dough hook) for 3-4 minutes to form a dough.

    Cover the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile peel apples and cut them into small slices.

    Dough should have risen properly after 30 minutes. Roll the dough with flour & rolling pin and spread it on a greased baking tray.

    Now spread the apples evenly on top.

    Bake in the preheated oven (top/bottom heat) on medium heat for 35 minutes.

    Shortly before the end of the baking process, mix cream, 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon in a bowl with a spoon. Add lemon juice and continue to mix, so that the cream becomes a little thicker.

    After baking time, remove the cake from the oven and spread cream evenly on top. Leave to cool for 15 minutes and eat directly if possible. Tastes best slightly warm! Bon appetit!
