Apple chicken in raisin sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 ready-to-cook chicken (approx. 1,2 kg )
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 5 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 6 small apples
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 200 ml Poultry stock (glass)
  • 1/8 l apple juice

Directions

    Wash the chicken, dab dry and season with salt and pepper. Wash the thyme and place 2 stems in the chicken. Place the chicken in a roaster and roast in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 45 minutes.

    Washing apples. Rinse raisins. Put apples, raisins, stock and apple juice into the roaster and cook for another 30 minutes. Pluck the remaining thyme leaves from the stems, except for some for garnishing, and add to the stock.

    Remove the chicken from the oven and garnish with thyme. Wholemeal baguette is delicious with it.
