Amarettini marzipan wreath

Ingredients

  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • 1 glass (720 ml) Cherries
  • 200 g Marzipan paste
  • 200 g soft butter/margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1⁄2 Bottle of bitter almond aroma
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 3 deleted Tsp Baking Powder
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 60 g + ca. 35 g Amarettini
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar

Directions

    Grease a springform pan with a tube bottom insert (26 cm Ø) and dust with flour. Drain the cherries well. Coarsely grate marzipan. Mix the fat, marzipan, sugar, vanilla sugar, bitter almond flavour and 1 pinch of salt for about 5 minutes with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy.

    Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder and stir in briefly, alternating with the milk. Add cherries and 60 g Amarettini to the dough.

    Fill the dough into the form, smooth it down. Place approx. 35 g Amarettini all around, close together on the middle of the dough and press in lightly. In a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/ gas: see

    Let the cake cool in the mould on a cake rack for about 10 minutes. Then remove from the tin and let it cool completely. Dust the marzipan wreath with icing sugar before serving. Whipped cream tastes good with it.
