Älpler-Magronen (pasta, potatoes & cheese)

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 200 g cook hard. Potatoes
  • 500 ml milk, salt
  • 200 g Noodles (e.g. croissants)
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons (20 g each) Butter
  • 75 g Gruyère cheese
  • 4 (approx. 750 g) Apples
  • 2 TABLESPOONS sugar, 1/8 l apple juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp juice of 1/2 lemon

    Wash the potatoes and cook for about 20 minutes. Quench, peel. Leave to cool. Then cut into slices

    Bring milk and 1 pinch of salt to the boil. Simmer the pasta for about 10 minutes until the

    liquid is almost absorbed

    Peel and slice the onions and garlic. Fry in 1 tbsp. hot butter until golden brown. Grate cheese roughly. Fill pasta and potatoes alternately with the cheese into an ovenproof dish. Spread onions and garlic over it. If necessary, bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/gas: level 3) for 10-20 minutes

    Peel apples, remove seeds. Cut into slices. Fry in 1 tbsp. hot butter and sprinkle with sugar. Add juices and stew everything for about 5 minutes until soft. Leave to cool slightly. Serve with the casserole
