  • 1 package Vanilla sugar
  • 1 package (7 g) Dry yeast
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 50 g + some + 100 g soft butter
  • 2 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 2 TEASPOONS ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. 1

Mix 500 g flour, 50 g sugar, vanilla sugar, yeast and 1⁄2 tsp salt. Warm milk lukewarm, melt 50 g butter in it. Add eggs to the flour mixture and knead with the dough hooks of the mixer for about 8 minutes to a smooth dough.

  2. 2

Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

  3. 3

Grease the box form (approx. 1 3⁄4 l capacity; approx. 30 cm long). Mix 150 g sugar and cinnamon. Knead the dough briefly and roll out on the lightly floured work surface (approx. 50 x 50 cm; just under 1 cm thin).

  4. 4

Spread with 100 g butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cut the dough into squares (à approx. 8 x 8 cm).

  5. 5

Stack 5-6 dough squares on top of each other and place them vertically in the mould. Repeat the process until all squares are in the mould. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

  6. 6

Bake bread in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: see manufacturer) for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to rest in the mould for approx. 30 minutes. Then carefully turn out, let it cool down and arrange it.
