  • 300 g cold butter
  • 30 g Gingerbread spice
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking soda
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 800 g + some flour
  • 2 fresh protein (Gr. M)
  • 400 g Icing sugar
  • 1-2 sheets Gelatine
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Disposable piping bag
  • 7-10 Tbsp Candy cane
  • 7-10 Tbsp little birthday candle
  • 7-10 Tbsp large and small wafer biscuits
  • 7-10 Tbsp Licorice diamonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Wine gum
  • 7-10 Tbsp Hamburger bacon mix
  • 7-10 Tbsp Shower gels
  • 7-10 Tbsp Rubber cord
  • 7-10 Tbsp Liquorice sweets
  • 7-10 Tbsp green cotton candy

Directions

  1. 1

For the dough, the day before, boil up syrup, honey, sugar and 100 ml water in a pot. Remove from the stove. Stir in 300 g butter in pieces with a whisk until it has dissolved. Mix gingerbread spice, baking soda and 1 pinch of salt.

  2. 2

Stir into the lukewarm honey mixture (be careful, it foams up!). Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and let it cool down to room temperature. Knead in 800 g flour with the dough hooks of the mixer.

  3. 3

Cover and leave to cool for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 4

The next day roll out the dough and cut out parts of the house with the template. Use the rest of the dough for a wall, for example. Cut out a square (approx. 4 cm) as a lantern base. Bake everything one after the other and let it cool down.

  5. 5

Sift icing sugar for the icing. Stir in the egg white with the whisk of the mixer. Pour the icing into the disposable piping bag and cut off the tip. Assemble the house with about half the icing and let it dry.

  6. 6

Place the candy cane with the icing on a lantern base and let it dry. Glue the birthday candle as a lantern on it. Decorate houses with various sweets and icicles. Let it dry.

  7. 7

Sprinkle a plate or tray with artificial snow as desired. Place houses, walls and lanterns on top of it and, for example, place cobblestones made of liquorice candy, decorate with bushes of cotton candy.
