Wash 12 beautiful cherries and put them aside for decoration. Wash the rest of the cherries, remove the stalks and pit them (please collect the cherry juice). Halve the cherries. Cream fat, sugar, salt and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other.
Mix flour and baking powder and stir in vanilla yoghurt alternately. Carefully fold in the cherries. Line 12 hollows of a muffin tin with one paper baking tin each. Spread the dough evenly. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a cake rack. As soon as the muffins are cold, sift icing sugar into a bowl. Add 2-3 tbsp. cherry juice and mix to a thick icing. Pour the icing into a piping bag.
