Peel and roughly dice the onion. Heat the oil and fry the meat in portions. Sauté onion in frying fat. Add tomato puree and sweat. Add meat and season with salt and pepper. Pour 200 ml water on it and let it stew covered for about 45 minutes. Meanwhile peel potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for about 25 minutes.
Clean and wash the beans and cook in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Then drain them. Clean, wash and cut the peppers into strips. Add peppers and beans to the goulash and braise for another 5 minutes. Season with ketchup, salt and pepper. Drain the potatoes and serve sprinkled with chives if necessary
