Ingredients

  • 50 g Almond kernels with skin
  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 125 g Butter
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 1.25 kg Strawberries
  • 1 TABLESPOON demerara sugar
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Icing sugar

Directions

    For the crumbles, chop the almonds roughly. Dice the marzipan. Mix flour, salt, vanillin sugar and sugar in a large bowl. Add butter in flakes, egg yolk, almonds and marzipan and knead into crumbles with your hands.

    Wash, clean and halve the strawberries. Put the strawberries in a large casserole dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar and spread crumbles evenly on top.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven and dust with icing sugar.
