Stollen muffins with figs & dates

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 100 g dried dates (without stone)
  • 100 g dried figs
  • 200 g soft + 50 g butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 150 g demerara sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 3 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 275 g Flour
  • 3 deleted Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 coated Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 TEASPOON Christmas stollen spice
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 100 g Icing sugar
  • 12 Paper baking cups
  • 7-10 Tbsp (à ca. 5 cm Ø)

Directions

    Roughly dice dates and figs. Cream 200 g butter, 1 pinch of salt, sugar and vanilla sugar with the whisks of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour, baking powder and spices and stir in with the milk.

    Fold in dates and figs, except for something to decorate.

    Place paper cups in a muffin baking tray (12 trays). Pour in the dough and bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: level 2) for 25-30 minutes. Remove the muffins.

    Melt 50 g butter. Spread hot muffins with it. Dust with half the icing sugar. Let them cool down.

    Dust muffins with the rest of the icing sugar and decorate with figs and dates.
