Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 400 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 2 egg(s)
  • 80 g Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon(s) - peel, grated
  • 1 Pts. vanilla sugar
  • 60 g Butter,
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sugar,
  • 300 ml Milk,

Directions

  1. 1

Make a soft, tender yeast dough from flour, salt, yeast, milk, sugar, eggs, butter, lemon peel and vanilla sugar. Beat the dough very well until it is fine and shiny. Let it rise covered with a cloth.

  2. 2

Use a tablespoon to cut off about 16 small or 10-12 larger noodles, form them into round shapes and let them rise again on a floured board.

  3. 3

In a shallow saucepan (with a tightly fitting lid) heat the butter with the sugar and milk. Insert the pasta that has gone. Bring to the boil over a gradually increasing heat. Cook for about 40 minutes on a moderate heat and then on a low heat until all the liquid is absorbed.

  4. 4

Do not remove the lid during this time!

  5. 5

The steamed noodles are ready when you hear them *crack* in the closed pot. Take the pot off the stove, let it cool down for about 2 minutes, and loosen the steamed noodles with the baking shovel. Serve with vanilla sauce.
