Savoy cabbage mince pot with apricots and almonds

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 small savoy cabbage (approx. 1,2 kg)
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 75 g dried soft apricots
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Almonds (with skin)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 500 g mixed mince
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, ground cumin
  • 1 TEASPOON Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 250 g Basmati rice

Directions

    Clean, wash and quarter the cabbage and cut into strips from the stalk. Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Chop the apricots smaller.

    Roast the almonds in a casserole without fat, remove. Heat the oil in the pot and fry the minced meat in it until it is finely crumbly. Season with salt and pepper. Fry onions and garlic briefly. Add cabbage and apricots.

    Season with salt, pepper and 1⁄2 TL cumin. 1⁄2 Pour in l water, stir in broth. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

    Prepare rice in 1⁄2 l boiling salted water according to package instructions. Add almonds to the cabbage and season to taste again. Add rice.
