Rievkooche with turnip cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 kg large waxy potatoes
  • 2 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 3-4 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, grated nutmeg
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Oil

Directions

    Peel the onion. Peel and wash the potatoes. Grate both finely. Mix with eggs and flour. Season with salt and nutmeg

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large coated frying pan. From the potato mixture with a tablespoon, add 3-4 grated potatoes to the hot fat and press them flat a little. Fry over medium heat from both sides until golden brown. Keep warm

    Bake another 6-8 potato pancakes in the same way. Serve with buttered brown bread, sugar beet syrup and apple compote
