Powidl dumplings with cinnamon crumbs and vanilla sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 5 TABLESPOONS + 450 ml milk
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla flavor
  • 1 package (750 g) Silk dumplings (dumpling dough from cooked potatoes)
  • 120 g Plum jam
  • 2 discs Toast
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon

Directions

    Stir 5 tablespoons of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar and sauce powder until smooth. Bring 450 ml milk to the boil, stir in the sauce powder, bring to the boil and simmer for about 1 minute. Remove from the stove and let it cool down

    Form 12 dumplings from the dumpling dough and fill with plum jam. Put the dumplings into boiling water sweetened with 2 tbsp. sugar and let them simmer without lid for about 20 minutes (do not boil!)

    Roughly dice bread and grind it into crumbs in the universal chopper. Roast in a pan without fat for approx. 3 minutes while stirring constantly. Season with 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon. Remove finished dumplings from the water, drain and turn in the crumb mixture. Arrange on plates with the vanilla sauce
