Potato and bean salad Housewife's style to Matjes

Ingredients

  • 800 g small new potatoes
  • 600 g French beans
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 collar Dill
  • 100 g Schmand
  • 100 g Salad cream (36 % fat)
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 TEASPOON Sugar
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Vinegar
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 Apples
  • 4 herring fillets (approx. 100 g each)

Directions

    Wash potatoes thoroughly and cook in boiling water for about 20 minutes. Wash, clean and chop the beans according to size. Cook in boiling salted water for about 12 minutes.

    For the sauce, wash the dill, shake dry, pluck flags from the stalks and cut finely except for a little to garnish. Mix sour cream, salad cream and milk and season to taste with salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar.

    Stir in the dill.

    Drain potatoes and beans and rinse with cold water. Cut potatoes into slices and let cool. Peel and halve the onion and cut into strips. Wash apple, quarter it, remove core and cut quarter into slices, halve slices.

    Mix cooled potatoes, beans, onion, apple and sauce. Serve the matie and salad. Garnish with dill.
