Pea soup with sausages

Ingredients

  • 50 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 500 g dried, peeled green peas
  • 1 collar Soup Greens
  • 4-6 Bockwürstchen
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 2 discs (approx. 100 g) brown bread
  • 10 g Butter or margarine
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley

Directions

    Cut the bacon into thin strips. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the oil. Skip the bacon. Add onion and fry until transparent. Deglaze with 1 1/2 l water, bring to the boil and stir in the stock. Add peas. Cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours

    Clean, wash and chop the soup greens. Add after approx. 30 minutes and cook

    Add sausages to the soup 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Season to taste with salt and pepper

    Dice bread. Heat the fat. Fry the bread cubes in it while turning. Wash parsley, shake dry, chop and sprinkle over pea soup. Add the bread cubes
