Paprika patties with chorizo

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 8–9 red bell pepper (approx. 800 g)
  • 250 g Chorizo (Spanish pepper sausage)
  • 2 Onions
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 small bunch of thyme
  • 175 g Lasagne sheets
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 125 g Mozzarella

Directions

    Cut the peppers in half lengthwise, clean and wash them. Peel the skin (see tip), cut the bell peppers into large pieces.

    Skin chorizo, cut sausage into slices. Peel onions and garlic. Chop onions coarsely, chop garlic. Wash thyme and pluck except for something to garnish.

    Break the lasagne sheets into pieces and cook in plenty of boiling salted water for about 5 minutes.

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the chorizo, onions, garlic and thyme. Add paprika and heat. Drain the pasta and collect some cooking water. Add the noodles to the pan and fold in.

    If necessary add 2-3 tablespoons of cooking water, cover and allow to simmer briefly. Dice mozzarella. Season the pepper patties with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with mozzarella and garnish with thyme.

    Drink: strong red wine.
