Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 125 g Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated peel of 2 untreated oranges
  • 150 g firm nut-nougat mass
  • 225 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 175 g Flour
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 12 Paper baking cups

Directions

    Heat the butter, orange peel and nut nougat in a saucepan over low heat while stirring until nougat and butter have melted. Remove from the heat and pour into a mixing bowl. Add sugar, vanillin sugar, salt, eggs, flour and baking powder. Mix with the whisk of the hand mixer to a smooth dough. Place paper baking cups in the hollows of a muffin tray (12 hollows).

    Pour in the dough and bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 20 minutes. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool down on a cake rack. Use a star cutter to draw a star on a thin piece of cardboard. Cut out the star. Dust the muffins alternately with the star template and the cut-out star
