Orange Christmas marmalade

Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 10–12 Oranges (including 4 untreated)
  • 20 g fresh ginger root
  • 7 Star Anise
  • 1 kg Gelling sugar 1:1

Directions

    Wash untreated oranges in hot water, grate them dry and peel the peel thinly with a zest ripper. Peel oranges so that the white skin is completely removed. Remove the fillets with a sharp knife between the parting skins. Squeeze the juice out of the parting skins. Cut the remaining oranges in half and squeeze the juice. Peel ginger and grate finely

    Bring orange filets, orange juice and peel, ginger, star anise and jam sugar to the boil and boil for at least 4 minutes

    Fill jam to the brim into prepared twist-off jars and immediately close them tightly. Leave to stand on the lids for approx. 5 minutes
