Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 3 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 kg Onions
  • 4-5 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 package (400 g) fresh baked pizza dough (yeast dough with olive oil; rolled out rectangularly on baking paper ready to bake; 37 x 25 cm; refrigerated shelf)
  • 1 (approx. 50 ml) small glass of anchovies in oil
  • 125 g small black olives

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the thyme, shake dry and cut the leaves into small pieces. Peel garlic and chop finely. Peel and thinly slice the onions. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and sauté the onions for about 5 minutes without letting them turn colour. Add garlic and thyme and continue cooking for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper

  2. 2

Roll out the dough thinly on a baking tray. Spread onions on the dough. Drain the anchovies and let them drip off on kitchen paper. Place the anchovies on the onions in a grid pattern. Spread olives on top and drizzle with 2-3 tbsp. olive oil

  3. 3

Bake the pizza in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving
