Meatballs with raisins and apple

Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 1 Apples
  • 1 Onion
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Cumin
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 20 g Butter or margarine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Mustard seeds
  • 250 g Schmand
  • 1 TEASPOON Lemon juice
  • 2 TEASPOONS Curry
  • 7-10 Tbsp fresh cilantro

Directions

    Soak the rolls in warm water. Peel, quarter and core the apple. Cut apple into small cubes. Peel and finely dice onion. Knead minced meat, onion, egg and squeezed bread roll.

    Season to taste with the spices. Knead in raisins and apple cubes. Form 8 meatballs from the mixture and fry in hot fat at medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side. For the dip, lightly roast mustard seeds in a pan without fat.

    Stir sour cream and lemon juice until smooth. Season with salt, pepper and curry. Stir in mustard seeds. Possibly garnish with a coriander leaf.
