Mashed potatoes with fried onions

Ingredients

  • 1 kg floury potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 discs Toast
  • 3 Onions
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 4 discs Bacon
  • 1/4 l Milk
  • 1/2 potty Marjoram

Directions

    Peel and wash the potatoes, boil them in salted water and cook them for about 20 minutes. Soak bread in cold water. Peel and chop onions. Knead minced meat, squeezed bread, 1 chopped onion and egg. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

    Form 8 meatballs from the minced meat. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meatballs for about 12 minutes at medium heat, turning several times. Cut the bacon into pieces, fry until crispy in a pan and remove. Fry the remaining onions in the bacon fat until golden brown. Drain potatoes, add milk and mash potatoes. Wash the marjoram, pluck the leaves from the stalks and chop roughly. Add bacon, onions and marjoram to the puree. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Arrange mashed potatoes and meatballs on a plate.
