Fried sheep's cheese cubes with tzatziki

Ingredients

  • 400 g Sheep's cheese
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 l Frying fat
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 400 g Skimmed milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 250 g Tomatoes
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Red wine vinegar
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Olives

Directions

    Cut sheep's cheese into 3-4 cm cubes (á cubes 30-40 g). Put eggs in a deep plate and whisk them. Add flour and breadcrumbs to plates. Turn the cheese in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs one after the other.

    Press the breadcrumb coating well. Just before serving, bake in hot frying fat for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. For the tzatziki, wash the cucumber and grate half of it. Peel the garlic and press it through the garlic press.

    Mix the grated cucumber, garlic and yoghurt. Season with salt and pepper. Leave to stand for a while. Season to taste again before serving. Cut the rest of the cucumber into thin slices. Clean, wash and slice the tomatoes.

    Peel and slice the onions. Sprinkle the salad ingredients with some salt and pepper. Drizzle with vinegar and oil. Serve salad, cheese cubes and tzatsiki garnished with olives.
