Drain the apricots. Cut the apricots into slices. Roast almonds in a pan without fat. Remove. Caramelise the sugar in the pan. Deglaze with orange juice and dissolve while stirring.
Turn the apricots in it and let them cool down.
Bark off toast. Spread 4 slices with nut nougat cream. Place the rest of the toast on top. Cut all breads diagonally in half. Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla sugar. Turn the toast sticks in it and let them stand for a short time.
Heat butter in a coated pan. Fry the toasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve with the caramelized apricots. Decorate with almonds and icing sugar. Serve immediately.
Vanilla yoghurt goes well with it.
