  • 300 g cold butter
  • 30 g Gingerbread spice
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking soda
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 800 g +some flour
  • 2 fresh protein (Gr. M)
  • 400 g Icing sugar
  • 1-2 sheets Gelatine
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Disposable piping bag
  • 7-10 Tbsp Candy Canes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Baisertuffs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Jelly berries
  • 7-10 Tbsp various marshmallows or hamburger bacon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar confetti

Directions

  1. 1

For the dough, the day before, boil up syrup, honey, sugar and 100 ml water in a pot. Remove from the stove. Stir in 300 g butter in pieces with a whisk until it has dissolved. Mix gingerbread spice, baking soda and 1 pinch of salt.

  2. 2

Stir into the lukewarm honey mixture (be careful, it foams up!). Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and let it cool down to room temperature. Knead in 800 g flour with the dough hooks of the mixer.

  3. 3

Cover and leave to cool for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 4

The next day roll out the dough and cut out parts of the house with the template. Use the rest of the dough to form small paving stones or cut out figurines. Bake one after the other and let it cool down.

  5. 5

Sift icing sugar for the icing. Stir in the egg white with the whisk of the mixer. Pour the icing into the disposable piping bag and cut off the tip. Assemble the house with about half the icing and let it dry.

  6. 6

Cut the rest of the cast in thirds. Colour one third with red pink and one third with blue light blue. Use the rest of the white cast to stick various sweets to the house, spray icicles and pretty ornaments on the window and roof.

  7. 7

Decorate roof, door and window frames with colourful icing.

  8. 8

Sprinkle a plate or tray with artificial snow as desired. Place a small house on top.
