Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON Butter
  • 1 TABLESPOON demerara sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Curry Powder
  • 400 g chunky tomatoes
  • 2 small gherkins
  • 200 g Tomato ketchup
  • 50 ml Beef broth
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Sambal Oelek
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Fruit vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 4 Curry sausages without skin (à approx. 150 g)
  • 600 g deep-frozen fries
  • 7-10 Tbsp Frying fat

Directions

    For the curry sauce, peel and finely dice the onion. Heat the butter and fry the onion for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and caramelise briefly. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp.

    curry powder and fry. Add tomatoes, bring to the boil and boil down for about 20 minutes while stirring. Finely dice the cucumbers. Add cucumbers, ketchup and stock to the sauce, bring to the boil and season to taste with Sambal Oelek, vinegar and salt

    Heat the oil in a pan and fry the sausages for about 8 minutes while turning. Fry the chips in portions in hot frying fat. Cut the sausages into slices. Arrange sausages, chips and sauce and sprinkle with curry powder
