Classic fried potatoes

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 150 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 3 Onions
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley and chives
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 500 g Edible quark (20 % fat in dry matter)

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and cook in boiling water for about 20 minutes. In the meantime cut bacon into cubes. Fry bacon in a pan without fat, remove. Peel onions and cut into rings.

    Drain the potatoes, quench, peel and slice. Wash the parsley and chop it except for something to garnish. Wash chives and cut into small rolls. Add oil to the bacon fat and heat.

    Fry the potato slices for 5-6 minutes, turning from time to time. Add onions and fry for another 3 minutes. Add bacon and stir in. Season the fried potatoes with salt and pepper. Stir curd cheese until smooth, add parsley except for a little bit for sprinkling and chives and season with salt and pepper.

    Sprinkle fried potatoes with parsley and garnish. Serve with the quark dip.
