  • 1 pack of (300 g; 5 slices) deep-frozen puff pastry
  • 125 g Appenzeller cheese
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 TABLESPOON Whipped cream
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Caraway seeds
  • baking paper

Directions

    Place the puff pastry slices next to each other and defrost. Grate cheese finely. Cut each puff pastry slice lengthwise into 6 strips. Twist two strips into cords. Lay the cords on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

    Whisk the egg yolk and cream and brush the cords with it. Sprinkle with cheese and caraway seeds. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 225 ° C/ gas: level 4) for 10-15 minutes. Results in 15 sticks
