Cevapcici with Djuvec rice

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 100 g frozen peas
  • 1 red pepper
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 200 g Long grain rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 100 g Aiwar (spicy-hot spice paste)
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Have peas thawed in a bowl. Clean and wash the peppers and cut them into small cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Sauté the peppers in it. Add rice. Deglaze with 400 ml water and season with salt.

    Add Aiwar and stir in. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Add the peas 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time. For the cevapcici peel garlic and chop finely. Knead minced meat, egg and garlic, season with salt and pepper.

    Form into cevapcici. Fry in 3 tablespoons of oil while turning for about 10 minutes. Form rice into balls with an ice-cream scoop. Arrange one rice ball and cevapcici on plates. Coleslaw and gypsy sauce are delicious with it.
