Ingredients

  • 1 small celeriac (about 500 g)
  • 1 l oil for frying
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sea salt

Directions

    Peel and wash the celery and cut it first into very thin slices, then into very thin strips. Or grate on a vegetable slicer (fine to medium fine) into long strips.

    Heat the oil in a wide pot or in the deep fryer to about 180°C (it is hot enough as soon as small bubbles appear on a wooden skewer).

    Fry the celery strips for 3-4 minutes in portions until golden brown. Lift out with a skimmer and let it drip off on kitchen paper. Season while still hot with salt and serve immediately.
