Buttermilk wafer tower with strawberry cream

Ingredients

  • 60 g Butter or margarine
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 125 g Flour
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 1/8 l Buttermilk
  • 1 TEASPOON Oil for the waffle iron
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 3 sheets white gelatine
  • 7-10 Tbsp 500 g
  • 7-10 Tbsp Whipped cream
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar for the
  • 7-10 Tbsp Dusting
  • 2 TABLESPOONS pacchiano
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar Decorated Hearts
  • 7-10 Tbsp possibly strawberries with green
  • 7-10 Tbsp to garnish

Directions

    Cream fat, 50 g sugar and 1 sachet vanilla sugar. Stir in the eggs one after the other and beat the mixture until creamy. Mix flour and baking powder, sieve onto the egg mixture and stir in with the buttermilk. Heat up a waffle iron. Brush thinly with some oil. Add 3 tablespoons of dough to each iron.

    Close the waffle iron and bake the waffles for about 4 minutes at medium heat until golden brown. Bake 5 waffles one after the other and let them cool down. Cut any protruding edges on the waffles straight. Wash and clean the strawberries, cut into small pieces except for a few strawberries for garnishing. Soak the gelatine. Whip cream, remaining sugar and vanillin sugar until stiff. Squeeze the gelatine, dissolve and stir into the cream. Fold in the strawberry pieces. Spread the strawberry cream, except for a small rest, with a spoon onto 3 wafers and spread. Place the waffles on top of each other and cover with the 4th waffle. Spread the rest of the cream on the middle of the waffle tower.

    Squeeze the gelatine, dissolve and stir into the cream. Fold in the strawberry pieces. Spread the strawberry cream, except for a small rest, with a spoon onto 3 wafers and spread. Place the waffles on top of each other and cover with the 4th waffle. Spread the rest of the cream on the middle of the waffle tower. Refrigerate the wafer tower for about 1/2 hour. Cut remaining waffle and strawberries into slices. Put the strawberry and wafer slices into the cream blob. Dust the tower with the icing sugar and sprinkle with some of the sugar hearts. Arrange on a plate and garnish the edge of the plate with the remaining sugar hearts and possibly strawberries with green. Makes about 12 pieces

    Refrigerate the wafer tower for about 1/2 hour. Cut remaining waffle and strawberries into slices. Put the strawberry and wafer slices into the cream blob. Dust the tower with the icing sugar and sprinkle with some of the sugar hearts. Arrange on a plate and garnish the edge of the plate with the remaining sugar hearts and possibly strawberries with green. Makes about 12 pieces
