Baked coconut apples

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 large apples (approx. 500 g; e.g. jonagored)
  • 3 TSP Lemon juice
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 100 g Coconut flake
  • 4 scoop of vanilla ice cream (approx. 50 g each)
  • 80 ml chocolate sauce
  • baking paper

Directions

    Wash the apples and cut out the core with an apple corer. Cut the apples into 6 thick slices, spread with 2 tsp. lemon juice and spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper

    Beat the egg whites with the whisk of the hand mixer until stiff, add the sugar and continue beating for 1-2 minutes. Add 1 tsp. lemon juice and fold in briefly. Grated coconut with a dough

    Spread the coconut meringue as tuffs on the apple slices with the help of 2 tablespoons. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 15 minutes. Serve coconut apples lukewarm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce
