Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 150 g light nougat with nuts
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 75 g salted macadamia nuts
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Apricot Jam
  • 4 small red apples (about 150 g each)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1

Finely dice the nougat. Wash the orange, grate dry and thinly grate half of the peel. Chop the macadamia nuts and roast them in a pan without fat, take them out and let them cool down. Mix nougat, orange peel, macadamia nuts and jam

  2. 2

Wash apples, grate them dry and straighten them on the underside so that they stand better. Cut off the upper 1/3 of the apples as a lid. Remove the core with a ball cutter. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice and place them in an ovenproof dish or on a baking tray. Fill the apples with the orange nougat and place the apple lid on top

  3. 3

Bake apples in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) on the second rack from the bottom for 20-25 minutes. Remove and serve with vanilla sauce or ice cream as desired
