Asian sauerkraut with fried rice

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 120 g Basmati Rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 200 g Sauerkraut (canned)
  • 3 colourful peppers
  • 3 Spring onions
  • 50 g piece of ginger tuber
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Soybean oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Soy sauce
  • 6 TABLESPOONS sweet-sour Asian sauce

Directions

    Prepare rice in boiling salted water according to package instructions. In the meantime drain sauerkraut well. Clean and wash the peppers and spring onions. Cut the peppers into fine strips and the spring onions into long pieces.

    Peel and chop the ginger. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok. Fry the bell peppers and spring onions over a high heat for about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and remove. Heat another tablespoon of oil in the frying fat.

    Fry rice until crispy, add ginger and remove. Fry the sauerkraut also at very high heat. Add prepared ingredients again. Season to taste with soy and Asian sauce.
