Ingredients

Servings: 24
  • 100 g Butter
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 cube (42 g) fresh yeast
  • 5 TABLESPOONS + 100 g sugar
  • 400 g Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 8 Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g red and green gooseberries
  • 600 g Schmand
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Melt the butter. Add 200 ml of milk, warm up lukewarm. Mix yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar and 100 ml of the milk mixture. Mix flour, 1 pinch of salt and 100 g of sugar in a bowl and make a depression in the middle. Pour yeast milk into the hollow, mix with some flour from the rim and cover with flour. Cover and leave to rise for about 15 minutes

    Add the rest of the milk mixture and 1 egg and knead to a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes

    Wash the gooseberries, dab dry and clean. Mix sour cream, vanillin sugar, 7 eggs, pudding powder, 200 ml milk and 4 tbsp. sugar. Grease the oven pan (32 x 39 cm) and dust with flour. Roll out dough evenly on the fat pan. Cover and leave to rise for 10-15 minutes in a warm place

    Spread gooseberries over the cake and pour the icing over it. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 30 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool down. Dust with icing sugar and cut into pieces
