Ingredients

  • 1 bag (500 g) of "bean mix" (v. Müller's Mühle) or e.g. per 250 g dried
  • 7-10 Tbsp white and kidney beans
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Curry
  • 300 g Turnip
  • 1/2 (approx. 500 g) Savoy cabbage
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Fresh cream

Directions

    Rinse bean mix cold and soak in approx. 1 1/4 l water overnight

    Onions peel, halve and cut into thin slices. Heat the oil in a large pot. Fry the onions in it. Add tomato paste and approx. 1 tbsp. curry, sauté. Deglaze with 1 1/2 l water. Add beans together with soaking water. Bring to the boil, cover and cook for about 50 minutes.

    Peel, wash and chop the turnip. Clean, wash and cut the savoy cabbage into rough strips. Add vegetables to the beans after 25-30 minutes cooking time, stir in broth. Cook everything to the end. Season stew with salt, pepper and curry. Serve with crème fraîche. Sprinkle a little curry on top
