Drain plums well on a sieve. Mix 5 tablespoons plum juice, sauce powder and 50 g sugar. Bring the rest of the plum juice and cinnamon sticks to the boil, stir in the sauce powder and bring to the boil again.
Remove the cinnamon sticks and fold in the plums and rum. Cream fat, vanilla sugar, salt, cinnamon and remaining sugar. Stir in the eggs bit by bit. Mix flour and baking powder, add and stir in.
Stir in almonds and milk. Heat up the waffle iron, brush with oil and put 1 1/2 tablespoons of waffle dough into each waffle iron, smooth it down and bake one after the other. Arrange the waffles dusted with cinnamon on a plate.
Plum rum compote extra. Whipped cream tastes good with it.
