Wash the raisins and drain well. Mix raisins and rum and let it stand for about 2 hours. Cut the rolls into thin slices. Whisk milk, eggs and vanilla sugar. Press the roll into the egg milk and let it steep for about 20 minutes.
Turn several times. Heat up the clarified butter in portions in a coated pan. Fry the knights in it for 4-6 minutes, turning them until golden brown. Serve with rum raisins, rum and vanilla ice cream. Dust with icing sugar
