Ingredients

  • 250 g room-warm butter
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 325 g Sugar
  • 5 Eggs (size M)
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 9 TABLESPOONS + 440 ml milk
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 1.5 kg Strawberries
  • 4 sheets Gelatine
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 2 packages unsugared red cake glaze
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film

Directions

    Cream butter, vanillin sugar and 200 g sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder and alternately stir in 3 tablespoons of milk. Spread the dough on the greased fat pan of the oven (32 x 39 cm). Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 20-25 minutes. In the meantime, stir pudding powder, 50 g sugar and approx. 6 tablespoons milk until smooth. Bring 440 ml milk to the boil, remove from the heat, stir in the pudding powder and cook for another 1 minute.

    Put into a bowl, cover the surface with foil and let it cool down. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool down. Wash and clean the strawberries and, depending on size, halve or quarter them. Soak the gelatine in cold water. Whip the cream until stiff. Stir the pudding until smooth. Squeeze the gelatine, dissolve lukewarm. Stir 2 tablespoons of pudding into the gelatine. Stir the mixed gelatine into the rest of the pudding. Chill until it begins to set. Fold in the cream. Spread the pudding cream on the cake. Cover with strawberries.

Leave to set in a cool place for about 1 hour. Cut the cake into 24 pieces
