Strawberry-nut-nougat cake

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 100 g Butter or margarine
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 200 g Nut nougat cream
  • 750 g Strawberries
  • 2 packages red cake glaze unsweetened
  • 75 g flaked almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Cream fat, 100 g sugar, salt and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder, stir in briefly. Fill into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø), smooth it down. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven, remove from the edge of the springform pan and let cool on a cake rack.

    Remove from the mould and place on a cake plate. Spread evenly with nut nougat cream. Place the cake ring firmly around the cake. Wash the strawberries. Halve 4 strawberries with blossom and put aside for decoration. Clean the rest of the strawberries, halve them and spread them on the cake. Mix the cake glaze and 75 g sugar in a small saucepan and gradually stir in 500 ml cold water. Bring to the boil while stirring. Spread the icing evenly over the fruit immediately from the middle of the cake. Chill the cake for about 1 1/2 hours. In the meantime, roast the almonds in a pan without fat while turning them until golden brown, remove.

    Clean the rest of the strawberries, halve them and spread them on the cake. Mix the cake glaze and 75 g sugar in a small saucepan and gradually stir in 500 ml cold water. Bring to the boil while stirring. Spread the icing evenly over the fruit immediately from the middle of the cake. Chill the cake for about 1 1/2 hours. In the meantime, roast the almonds in a pan without fat while turning them until golden brown, remove. Remove the cake from the cake ring with a knife and spread the flaked almonds evenly around the edge. Carefully cut the cake open and decorate with strawberries
