Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking soda
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 75 g soft butter
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 50 g Honey
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp candied cherries, pistachios and almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper
  • 1 Disposable piping bag

Directions

  1. 1

For the dough mix flour and baking soda. Add sugar, butter, egg, salt, vanillin sugar and honey and knead first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then with your hands to a smooth dough. Leave the dough to rest in the refrigerator overnight. Make a template for cutting out the dough beforehand. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 1 cm. Cut out a star (approx. 21 cm Ø). Cut a small hole at one end so that the star can be hung up.

  2. 2

Put it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Knead the dough, roll out 1/2 cm thick and cut out about 12 small stars (about 6 cm Ø). Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 10 minutes. Mix icing sugar and egg white with the whisk of the hand mixer until smooth. Pour into a piping bag, cut off the tip and decorate with stars. Decorate the still wet icing with candied cherries, pistachios and almonds and let it dry
