Clean and wash the beans and cut them into thin diagonal pieces. Peel onion and cut into large cubes. Clean, wash and chop the bell peppers. Wash thyme, pluck off leaves
Heat the oil in a pot. Fry the onion until transparent. Add the beans and sauté briefly. Briefly sauté the bell peppers as well. Add 1 l water, broth and thyme. Bring everything to the boil, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes
Rinse and drain the white beans. Cut the sausage into thin slices. Add both to the stew 5-10 minutes before the end of the cooking time and heat up. Season to taste with salt and pepper
