Ingredients

  • 1 package Butter (250 g)
  • 1.5 kg Apples (8 pieces)
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 4 cup(s) (100 g each) Flour
  • 3 deleted Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 cup(s) (150 g each) Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 1/2 cup(s) (50 ml) Milk
  • 1 cup(s) (50 g) chopped almonds
  • 3-5 Tbsp Apricot Jam
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Sugar crystals
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon balm
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Melt the butter and let it cool down. Peel, halve and core apples. Cut the round side of the apple with a knife several times about 1 cm deep. Drizzle apples with lemon juice. Put flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, eggs, milk, almonds and butter in a bowl.

    Mix with the whisk of the hand mixer. Grease a fat pan (32 x 39 cm) and dust with flour. Pour in the dough and smooth it down. Dab apples dry and spread on the dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 35 minutes. Let the cake cool down on a grid. Heat the jam and pass through a sieve. Spread the cake with it and sprinkle with sugar crystals. Cut into pieces and arrange on a plate.
