Cream soft fat, sugar, vanillin sugar and salt. Add lemon and orange peel, cinnamon and cloves. Alternately stir in eggs and 3-4 tablespoons of flour. Mix remaining flour and baking powder and stir in together with the red wine. Coarsely grate 250 g raw marzipan and also fold in. Put the dough on a greased, breadcrumbed pan (32 x 39 cm) and smooth it down. Bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 20 minutes.
Let cool off. In the meantime knead the remaining raw marzipan paste and 30 g icing sugar and colour yellow with food colouring. Sieve some icing sugar onto a work surface, roll out the marzipan and cut out moons and stars as desired. Mix the remaining icing sugar (400 g), rum, lemon and orange juice to a smooth glaze. Spread the icing on the cake and decorate with moons and stars. Leave to dry and cut into about 25 pieces
