Potato omelette (Tortilla de Patatas)

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 7-10 Tbsp 800 g-1 kg potatoes
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 4-6 Eggs
  • 1/2 TEASPOON dried thyme

    Wash the potatoes and boil in water for about 20 minutes. Quench, let cool down a little. Peel and slice the potatoes. Fry in hot oil, turning frequently, until golden brown, season

    Peel and chop onion and possibly garlic. After about 10 minutes fry them. Whisk the eggs and season with salt, pepper and thyme. Pour over the potatoes and let them set. Slide on a flat lid and put back into the pan upside down. Brown from the other side. The omelette tastes hot or cold
