Simmer 250 ml water and cinnamon sticks in a pot for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and pour through a sieve. Measure out 60 ml, let it cool down. Mix oil, sugar, honey, cinnamon water, brandy, orange peel and orange juice in a bowl with a whisk. Mix the flour, cloves and baking powder, stir in gradually with the whisk of the hand mixer
Pour the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø) sprinkled with flour. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 35 minutes. Remove and let cool on a cake rack. Coarsely chop the walnuts. Remove the cake from the tin, dust thickly with icing sugar and serve sprinkled with nuts
