Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Butter or margarine
  • 600 g frozen peas
  • 1 TABLESPOON Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 TEASPOON grated rind of 1 untreated lemon

Directions

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the fat in a saucepan. Sauté onion in it. Add peas. Add 75 ml water and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, bring to the boil and cook covered for about 5 minutes.

    Mash peas. Stir in lemon zest.
